If you’ve stopped by Au Bon Marché Numbatu recently, you’ve probably noticed things are looking a lot different. Over the past two years, we have undertaken a series of major upgrades designed to make shopping faster, easier, and more enjoyable for our customers.
One of the biggest changes has been the expansion of our Fresh Produce and Dairy departments, creating more space for customers to browse and shop comfortably. We have also modernized the store with new shelving throughout, improving product visibility and creating a cleaner, more organized shopping environment.
Our fresh food offering has also been enhanced with the integration of the Seafood and Delicatessen departments, now connected to a brand-new Butchery section. This dedicated fresh food zone allows customers to conveniently shop for seafood, meats, and deli products all in one area.
To improve product availability and presentation, we have invested in new refrigeration equipment, including a 20-door glass freezer lineup and brand-new island freezers. Sixteen freezer doors were installed during the first phase of the upgrade, with an additional four doors added this year, providing greater capacity for frozen products and easier access for customers.
The checkout experience has also been improved with redesigned registers and a new cigarette counter, helping to streamline customer service and reduce waiting times.
More recently, attention has turned to enhancing the overall look and feel of the store. Decorative pendant lighting, LED linear lights, timber-slatted ceilings, and wall cladding have been installed throughout the shop, creating a brighter and more welcoming atmosphere. New lettering signage has also been added across all departments, making it easier for customers to navigate the store.
Outside, customers will notice the installation of our refreshed Au Bon Marché branding, featuring the primary logo at the front of the building and round logo signage on the sides.
These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a better shopping experience for the communities we serve. We are proud of the transformation of ABM Numbatu and look forward to welcoming customers to enjoy the upgraded store.
